KEY REQUIREMENTS

    • You have a minimum of 2 years experience in an events role, demonstrating a tangible track record in delivering innovative events across sectors.
    • You are a serious networker. You are naturally curious about the people around you. You are engaging and outgoing.
    • You are organised and process driven and you enjoy organising multiple projects at once, managing them within strict budgets and reporting on financial elements of the business.
    • You have strong written and oral communication skills.
    • You are able to hold your own and represent Huckletree within the organisation and at internal and external events.
    • You enjoy the ability to manage your own flexible schedule, including evening and weekend shifts.
    • You have a strong customer-service mentality.

You have a background in events and are happy with a 100% flexible schedule and with the prospect of working evenings in return for more downtime during the week. You are motivated by creating an exciting event schedule to help our members learn new skills, stay informed and meet interesting people.

You are result-driven, super-organised and with rigorous attention to detail. Perhaps you’ve kept it hidden, but you’re a bit of a nerd when it comes to events, startups, innovation and working out how to build a successful business.

You’re creative and passionate. You’re ambitious, energetic and confident. You’re the type that’s always joining the dots, connecting people and spotting opportunities other people miss. You’re entrepreneurial, resourceful and a born problem-solver. You see the bigger picture but aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty in the name of understanding the intricacies of a project.

PROGRAM & EVENTS MANAGER PILLAR RESPONSIBILITIES

(1) Building and Delivering the Internal Events Program:

    • You’ll have complete ownership over the full Internal Events program and content.
    • Designing, implementing, tracking engagement, gathering feedback, analysing and optimising the program on a monthly basis.
    • Building relationships with key influencers across sectors.
    • Knowing what our members could benefit from, making sure to attract and retain top hosts and partners across multiple sectors.
    • Making sure that you know every one of your members and that you go round the space on a daily basis to encourage event attendance.
    • Keeping the weekly event schedule is up to date across all platforms.
    • Liaising with our marketing team to ensure the timely promotion of events across our social media channels, and
    • Delivering the Internal Events Program on budget.

(2) Building and Delivering the External Events Program:

    • You’ll have complete ownership over the full External Events program and content.
    • Identifying potential hosts (both startups and corporates), making contact with them and showing them around our space.
    • Knowing the Dublin Tech events schedule by heart so that you can ensure that we are hosting the most relevant events.
    • Building relationships with key decision-makers across sectors. Researching markets to identify event opportunities.
    • Managing inbound events queries and liaising with hosts to ascertain their requirements, create a brand for the event and recommending suppliers.
    • Coordinating staffing requirements and staff briefings each beginning and end of the week.
    • Coordinating suppliers, handling client queries and troubleshooting on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly.
    • Managing the events budget by sourcing suppliers and negotiating commercial contracts.
    • Liaising with our marketing team to ensure the timely promotion of events across our social media channels, and
    • Hitting your financial KPI’s.

(3) Partnerships, Supplies and Sponsors:

    • Is constantly building these relationships in order to enhance our member and guest experience and to ensure a strong offering to our community.

(4) Operational Efficiency:

    • Implementing process systems and documenting all operational procedures, to ensure that life is easier next time around.
    • Making suggestions for the improvement of the systems in place.
    • Evaluating the results of overall operations regularly and report your findings to the Community Lead.
    • Ensuring that the correct tools are put in place to process information flow between your team members and to manage your location efficiently.
    • Compiling data and metrics to support all business decisions, and
    • Reporting your achieved KPIs to the Community Lead each month.

JOB DETAILS

    • This is a full-time position.

REMUNERATION

€25-28,000 base salary (dependent on experience) plus annual performance – related bonus and equity.
